The Romantic Routes

For centuries the Tuscan landscape has had a special attraction on Italian and foreign tourists due to its characteristics: the fusion of vineyards and olive groves with the gardens and then with the buildings themselves, castles, fortified abbeys and towers that dot the territory, made sweet by avenues of cypresses, cultivated fields, historic villas, secret gardens.

We recommend the most picturesque places to visit to our guests on their honeymoon or honeymoon, to couples who treat themselves to a romantic weekend here or celebrate their special anniversary.

Romantic itineraries rich in beauty and in the evening, upon returning, a dip in the romanticism of the Taverna di Bibbiano farmhouse with a romantic candlelit dinner under a starry sky …

Chianti Castles

To delight you among delicacies and wines, Chianti is a stone’s throw from the Bibbiano Tavern: Gaiole in Chianti, Greve in Chianti, Castellina in Chianti … but not only: a romantic suggestion: visit the Castles and the Historic Gardens between Siena and Florence:

the Castello di Brolio preserves intact the atmosphere of the past … and it is possible to walk along its terraces, from which you can enjoy a splendid view of Chianti; the Castle of Meleto in Gaiole in Chianti and other splendid castle-villages such as the Castle of Monfioralle and San Gusmé.

Chianti Gardens

The splendid Gardens of Villa Gamberaia (in high season, every day), the Gardens of Villa di Monaciano (by appointment) and the gardens of Villa Arceno in San Gusmé (on Wednesdays, by appointment) will fascinate you with their romantic parks, the their fountains, their statues, their secret corners and their paths in the green.

Other gardens can only be visited in groups, by appointment, such as the gardens of Villa Medici in Fiesole, those of the Villa di Geggiano (where Bernardo Bertolucci shot the scenes of the feast of the film “Io Ballo da Sola”) or the Villa di Vignamaggio ( where, according to tradition, it seems that Leonardo painted the Mona Lisa).

San Gimignano and Certaldo

San Gimignano, with its medieval alleys and towers … which every year inspires artists and painters who come from all over the world to try to reproduce the magic of this city.

Certaldo, home of Boccaccio, another historic and picturesque village, ideal even if you want to get married here (for a civil ceremony the Palazzo Pretorio is beautiful)
